We get asked this a lot!

It’s a bit of a trick question to be honest because it really depends on your business and what you want to achieve.

But, there are few things that might feature in your marketing that you can introduce to support most marketing strategies…

1. Video – going LIVE or sharing pre-recorded videos… Aim to get more video content published and out there about your business, product or services.

Video content ideas:

Customer testimonials, product or service demonstrations, meet the team, office or factory tours, on the road with a team member, day in the life of, tips/tricks, industry news, upcoming events, product/service reviews… we could go on! Basically, if you are able to take a photo THINK… Can I do a video of this instead! The answer will 9/10 times be YES!

2. VALUE – deliver value driven content through whatever marketing you’re doing – you’ll always win if you do this!

Value driven content ideas:

Top 5 lists, Top 10’s, Guides, How-to features, behind the scenes, downloadable e-books, video tutorials, carousel tip posts on Instagram, articles on LinkedIn, YouTube videos…

TOP TIP: Think of your customers’ frequently asked questions – the ones you’re always asked and answer them with some ‘value driven content’!

3. Community – tap into your audience and invite them to be a part of your brand…

How can you do this? Start a Facebook community group OR join one and start imparting your knowledge. Create a LinkedIn group and invite industry experts to help you build and grow an industry specific group to support/help/advise each other.

4. Brand partnerships – collaborate with businesses that have similar target audiences – this is a great way to reach a new audience.

How to find your potential partners: Think of your target audience. Now think about other businesses they would use… Search for these businesses on social media… Do they have a bigger audience than you? If so, this is great because you want to get in front of their audience. I know you’re thinking “but why would they want to help me…?” Well, your business could add value to their audience, you can potentially pay for the ads to get you both in front of a wider audience and that makes it mutually beneficial!

5. Automate what you can – cut out labour intensive marketing practices and automate to save time!

What can you automate: Using a CRM you can automate most digital marketing now including social media, email marketing, advertising and much more… Depending on your budget this can be a really effective way to reach a wider audience and increase your chance of conversion for warm leads whilst nurturing your cold leads too! If you don’t have a CRM, there are plenty of other automation tools you can use such as Facebook Creator Studio to schedule Facebook and Instagram posts and platforms like Mailchimp to send email marketing.

These are just a few ideas that can work for most businesses but a strategy is all about YOUR business and should be tailored to you!
