Remarketing

Do you know what it is? Have you used it?

Basically you are marketing to people who have already shown an interest in your business.

Whether that is by clicking or engaging with your digital content including social media, website, Google search. Remarketing is marketing again to those same people/data profiles to encourage them to transact with you.

Remarketing used to be limited to just email marketing but is now more of an umbrella term that includes retargeting ads too…

For example, if someone lands on your website for the first time, you can remarket to them via ads to get them to come back to your website and encourage them to transact with you.

Many people mix up retargeting and remarketing but although very similar and both can work separately, remarketing is the more holistic approach so much so that you could use retargeting as a subset of remarketing.

  • Facebook Ads
  • LinkedIn Ads
  • Instagram Ads
  • YouTube Ads
  • Telephone
  • Direct Mail
  • Billboards
  • Google Ads

The list goes on and on…

The same thing applies here as it always does. It comes down to your customer and being in front of them at the right time, with the right message to get the right results!

For retargeting and remarketing you always need to consider the customer journey and what you can deliver in your message that will get them to engage with your remarketing efforts and eventually get them to transact with you.
