John Howe Turkeys were established in 1976 with just 25 birds. Since then, it has become a real family affair. With over forty years of production, they continue to produce traditional free-range bronze and white turkeys for Christmas and Thanksgiving.

Problem: This third-generation family business wanted to continue to grow the business by launching a strong Christmas campaign however they lacked the marketing knowledge and technical know-how to do this effectively. They tried working with other marketing agencies, but they found it difficult to find one they could trust. They really needed someone to take on the campaign, give it some direction and bring it to life.
Solution: Plan, launch and report on a three-month Christmas digital campaign to target their customer personas to deliver the following:
- Email marketing
- PPC management
- Content creation
Results:
We developed a 6-week google ad campaign to drive traffic through to their website with a focus on Thanksgiving and Christmas. We reviewed the ad closely as the campaign was very time sensitive, and we had a limited time to show the client ROI. The goal of the PPC campaign was to increase online sales, which was achieved. John Howe saw an uprise in sales by 80%, with Google ads being the second highest driver of traffic to their website. By the end of the campaign, we saw a 139% increase in clicks than we had originally forecasted.
Alongside the PPC campaign, we ran an email marketing campaign which consisted of 3 emails that we created, designed and launched throughout the 3 month period. The emails were a huge success, with very strong open and click-through rates, and it was great to see orders being placed on the back end of the website as a result of these emails.
