Search Engine

optimisation

Your current website’s SEO (search engine optimisation) may be outdated or incomplete. This is when we would recommend having an SEO Audit. This is where we take a look at the individual components of your website and identify where you’re missing opportunities for engagement and conversions.

Search engine optimisation is an ongoing process that helps you reach your desired target audience. We can work with you to answer ‘what should I be doing?’, ‘who should I be talking to?’ and ‘why do I need to do this?’.

Once we have carried out your SEO audit, and identified where and why your website is lacking in its technical and on-page SEO, we can then start to update and implement SEO techniques across your site. I Do Marketing can then help you to keep on top of your SEO with monthly support or advice. We can either manage your website’s search engine optimisation alone or as part of our broader Marketing Manager Support package.

Kent Canterbury SEO Search Engine Optimisation

What is SEO?

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimisation. The term “search engine” refers to websites such as Google Search, BING, Yahoo! or even DuckDuckGo. These are all used to search for websites, products or digital media across the web. Optimisation refers to the technique of changing, modifying or creating content on your website that attracts the attention of these search engines.

The more optimised your website is, the higher it will rank when searching for specific keywords or phrases.

SEO Keywords & Phrases

A big part of search engine optimisation is content and the keywords that are used within that content. If you’d like to appear higher up on search engines for a specific keyword or phrase, you will have to use that keyword within your content. Search engines will then crawl your website’s text and log what words are used and in what manner.

Here’s an example:

If I Do Marketing want to get to the top of Google when searching for SEO services and we want to target users located within Canterbury or even Kent, we would make sure to use phrases such as:

  • Canterbury SEO Services
  • Kent SEO Services
  • Search Engine Optimisation Canterbury
  • Search Engine Optimisation Kent
  • On-Page SEO Canterbury
  • On-Page SEO Kent

It’s important to use keywords as naturally as possible. If your content consists of the same keyword over and over, search engines will identify this and penalise your website, pushing its position down even further.
