Problem: Wilkinson approached us to improve and strengthen their online presence as part of their business growth plans to target architects and other construction professionals. They wanted to create a brand that is memorable and resonated more with their target audience, as well as improve their social media presence with consistent posting of relevant and engaging content. Step 1: Discovery Session
We kicked off with an immersive Discovery Session where we took a dive into their business to identify their current position in the market, their goals, their strengths and weaknesses, their target audience, and the industry as a whole.
Whilst Wilkinson approached us to improve their online presence, the Discovery Session was invaluable in revealing that they, in fact, had a brand identity crisis. Once we spent the time to review their online and offline marketing, we revealed that the messaging was confusing, and their website did not reflect who they are or what they offer.
From this activity, we had a clear plan to implement on their behalf, and were able to suggest ideas and strategies to help them clarify their position in the market and reach their target audience with the right messaging using the right marketing tools.
Step 2: Branding
As the first step in helping to solve the issue of the brand identify crisis, we reviewed the branding and messaging. It was important that the existing logo and assets were refreshed, but most importantly, simplified to help convey a clear brand message. From this, we developed and introduced a new set of brand guidelines to ensure consistency moving forwards.
We created branded social media templates and updated all their marketing and sales collateral.
Step 3: Marketing Plan
Once the brand was simplified and representative of Wilkinson’s offering, we developed an all-encompassing marketing strategy and a rolling 6-month marketing plan with monthly meetings and reports. We work closely with them on an ongoing basis, acting as their Marketing Manager.
Step 4: Website design and development
A new dynamic website was at the heart of the marketing strategy to reflect the new branding and act as a lead generation opportunity for Wilkinsons and an information hub for architects.
We designed and built their new website and supported them on the content for each page. This also included interactive forms which acted as the initial step in their sales function.
Step 5: Ongoing support
On a monthly basis, we support Wilkinson’s with their ongoing social media management across LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook, graphic design for online and offline materials, website management, monthly newsletter and industry article, as well as strategic advice.
